By employing an ISO-compliant Quality Management System (QMS), ICI Manufacturing consistently provides a quality product through processes that help us reduce defects, ensure a proactive approach to quality control and process improvement, and ultimately enhance operational efficiency.
Quality through risk assessment and control
Immediately after orders are received, the ICI management team identifies and mitigates potential failures using Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). This highly effective risk assessment helps us establish controls to prevent failures from happening. The resulting quality control plan accompanies all job routers and describe the actions required at each stage of a process, ensuring outputs that conform to the specified requirements.
Quality through rigorous inspections
Consisting of ongoing inspections at every stage of the product cycle, our unsurpassed quality control management is one of our most essential processes for consistently delivering high-quality products.
Production Inspections
First article inspections (FAI) are performed at the beginning of each new production operation to ensure initial conformance. In-process inspections are performed during the production operations to ensure ongoing conformance to the customers engineering specifications. Each of these stages utilizes a variety of calibrated inspection equipment.
Final Inspection & Testing
Once the production and servicing stages are completed, all product undergoes a final inspection to ensure conformance to all customer and engineering specifications. In short, our final inspections serve as your safeguard against defective products.
Our Quality and Metrology inspection lab maintains a complete set of calibrated inspection tools and equipment including:
- Quantum X FaroArm® for probing and comparing parts to CAD files
- Polyworks software to aid in dimension verification
- Full complement of calipers, micrometers, thickness, and hardness testers
- ANSI salt-fog cabinet for testing and certification of in-house plating and coatings
